Materials Technology - Metal

The students work with various materials such as mild steel, brass, copper, aluminium and plastics.

They learn how to use hand tools in the lockers and also the machines such as the lathe, CNC lathe and forge. They undertake various projects in each year and also cover their theory course.

Their exam in Junior Certificate consists of:

• Project Work
• Practical Exam
